CAER Studio

CAER Studio will tap into local talent, bringing together artists, performers, residents, project volunteers, school pupils, teachers, development workers, academics and heritage professionals, involving them in an ambitious, dynamic and experimental 12-month collaborative process.

Challenging the boundaries of interdisciplinary practice, it will offer new ways of understanding and promoting positive interactions with arts and culture and encourage new possibilities for engaging with CAER’s research through creative play, text, art, illustration, design and film, pursuing two principle project strands of activity:

Following the success of the award-winning Caer Heritage Project, CAER Studio is 1 year AHRC funded project that will lead to the development of a series of creatively co-produced art objects and craft items inspired by the history and heritage of the community of Caerau and Ely in South West Cardiff.
